Weekly Photo Challenge: Humanity & Kindness

Humanity is kindness and compassion towards other beings – humans, animals etc.

Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar, November 2013.

I took this photo while wandering around in the compound of the peaceful Seventh Day Adventist Church in Pyin Oo Lwin, a small town near Mandalay, Myanmar. I saw these two girls, who I guess were sisters. A woman, possibly her mother, told them to go getting the laundry hung on the clothesline on the lawn. They walked, holding each other as you can see in the photo, and picked the laundry cheerfully.

I can still remember the warm feeling spreading through my heart, which made me smile for the rest of the day. Hopefully you got the same feeling too. 🙂

(This post is part of the Weekly Photo Challenge, in which guest host, Thirdeyemom, asked us to interpret the theme humanity and what it means to us.)
